2.495,00

Perfect facsimile reproductions of Klimt’s most famous drawings. Edited only in a small numbered edition. – Introduction for part 2 missing. – Rare. Gustav Klimt was born 160 years ago in 1862. In 1897, 125 years ago, the great Viennese artist moved out of the Künstlerhaus with like-minded people to found a new artists’ association, the Vienna Secession, as the spearhead of the avant-garde in Vienna around 1900. – Theportfolio offers the highlights of his drawings. The scope and representative character of the collection offers works from all creative periods and studies on all of the artist’s main works such as the ceiling paintings in the Burgtheater, the faculty pictures, the Beethoven frieze, the numerous portraits of women from Viennese society, and his major life themes such as love, eros and Death, as well as his erotic drawings, with which he revolutionized the representation of the female naked body and paved the way for the expressionists Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka.
