Extremely rare and not a frequent defense of the great patron of Gustav Klimt. Hermann Bahr compiled an annotated a collection of numerous criticisms and controversies surrounding four works in particular, shown at Secession exhibitions between 1900 and 1902, but completely refrained from commenting on the mostly extraordinarily negative reviews. The best commentary on this book was published by Maria Rennhofer on the occasion of the exhibition “Against Klimt: Die “Nuda Veritas” und ihr Verteidiger Hermann Bahr” (May 10 to October 29, 2012) Maria Rennhofer in Parnass 1/2012.
