First German edition. – The extremely rare second part of this outstanding ouevre about knitting. Treats in seven chapters the different methods of knitting for stockings, dresses, hats for children, underware and jackets etc. With very illustrative plates. As allways a double suite of plates one coloured and one black and white. Netto’s goal was to provide women with a methodical guide to knitting, with written instructions (lacking in most earlier knitting pattern books) for every type of knitting , from the simplest to the most complex, and including the related arts of crocheting, bobbin lace -making, filet crocheting, and other techniques. – Rare and decorative pattern and exercise book for arnamental drawing and embroidery. – The French edition appeared in 1802, the second, enlarged German edition in 1804.
