Photography – Hausmann – Prévot, Marthe. – Raoul Hausmann Entracte.

The photos show the Viennese multi-media artist Rould Hausmann (1886-1971) who in 1918 was one of the founders of Berlin Dada and from 1922 on was working with the East-European constructivists and the Dutch De-Stijl-group. He was one of the versitile artists of his time. – Marthe Prévot (born 1923) was the longtime lover of Hausmann, which he married in 1939. The photographs originated around 1957, when Hausmann obviously was declaiming some of his sound- poems. – On the reverse side signed by Prevot in pencil and with the blindstamp ‘griffelkunst’. – Later prints for the Edition of Griffelkunst Vereinigung Hamburg.
