La Caricature was a satirical weekly published in Paris between 1830 and 1843 during the July Monarchy. 251 issues appeared between 1830 and 1835. The journal was increasingly vocal in its oppossition to Louis-Philippe, and was seized more than twelve times. The publisher was prosecuted and Phillipon was jailed for a year. – WITHOUT THE PLATES!!
