Autograph – Lehrs, Max. Art historian and long time director of the cooper-cabinet in Dresden. (1855-1938). – Autograph postcard, signed, Dresden 13.VI, 1932. With autograph address and a supplement.

To Artur Gradmann from the art-editorial with the same name: Auf Fahne 183 unten links habe ich den Buchstaben H (dieser in Franktur) aus dem Gedächniß(!) so vorgezeichnet, wie er statt des von der Druckerei verwendeten ausschauen muß. Vielleicht ist Herr Hofrat Weixelgärtner so gütig, ehe er klischirt (,) wird der Form nach zu kontrollieren (…)” – The mentioned ‘Hofrat’ was the art historian Arpad Weixelgärtner (1872-1961), curator of the ‘Weltlichen und Geistlichen Schatzkammer’ and from 1931 to 1933 director of the ‘Gemäldegalerie of the Kunsthistorische Museum in Vienna. – The supplement is an autograph letter, signed by Lehrs wife Dora asking for the return of proofs etc.
