J\u00e4nner 1926 in Gutenstein, Nieder\u00f6sterreich; \u2020 22. Februar 2000 in Wien; eigentlich Hubert Pelikan) war ein \u00f6sterreichischer Maler, Bildhauer und B\u00fchnenbildner. &#8211; Er studierte bis 1952 an der Akademie f\u00fcr angewandte Kunst in Wien bei Eduard Josef Wimmer-Wisgrill und 1957 bis 1960 an der Wiener Akademie der bildenden K\u00fcnste bei Sergius Pauser sowie an der Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Aratym erhielt f\u00fcr die B\u00fchnenbilder zu Der Balkon (1961, Volkstheater Wien) den \u00d6sterreichischen Staatspreis f\u00fcr angewandte Kunst. &#8211; Im Mittelpunkt seines Werkes stand der Mensch und dessen Beziehung zu anderen Menschen, wobei er vor allem das Stilmittel der Reduktion einsetzte, um nicht vom Wesentlichen abzulenken.
